I have taken creatine on and off for years and have always seen positive benefits. It's also one of the most studied supplements ever.

Not related @Rehemansheriff007 but I recommend you do not tag people in your thread posts all the time so you don't bother then and make them not want to reply. If you tag me in every post, it's going to deter me from answering lol

You’re gonna go through a lot of trial and error of what works best for your body and what works for one person may not work for another. That being said creatine without question is one of the most studied and backed supplements. Also, keep in mind one main function of creatine is drawing in and retaining water into the muscles. Meaning you are retaining water and this can interfere slightly with an active weight cut for a fight. But you can just get off of it with proper timing prior to fight week.

I have used creatine on and off since the early 2000's with great results. As Blackbelt stated above it does make you retain water so I would start tapering off about 8 weeks out from a fight. Another issue that I had with it was cramping. I have to make sure that I drink about a gallon and half of water everyday. I started my son on the gummies throughout his high school and collegiate sports and he didn't have the same issues that I had with cramping.

Creatine is one of the few supplements that’s genuinely worth bothering with, especially for BJJ and lifting. Only real downside is increased water weight so if your competing then I wouldn't start taking it to start with in the weeks leading up. Once your body is saturated this becomes less of an issue. Many people start off creatine loading (higher doses) to get the muscles saturated and then drop to a nice daily boring sensible dose after about a week.
