Hi. I'm looking for a counter to the hammerlock pass:
I tried omoplata and it doesn't work.
The link I posted deals with early stage defence. Sometimes you need to work out things by experimenting too. Eg. you can work on doing the pass to understand how the pass works, and which grips/things you need to achieve at certain stages of the pass. Then, go back on bottom and work out ways to prevent your opponent achieving the grips/things they need to complete the pass at each stage. eg. late stage your guard is almost passed, if possible work out how to deny them the cross face using your free arm, or make their cross face sub optimal etc.....
