    Is there Tuantula Guard info on GG? If not can someone point me to a good reference on it?

    I had not ever heard of this guard before, but I did look and see some sweeps and submissions up on YouTube using this guard

    Tarantula guard aka Romulo guard is spider guard variation. Sleeve grip and same side collar grip. Foot on bicep (sleeve grip side), other foot on hip (sweeping leg).

    Choose Marcus Johnson from expert section and take a look at his spider guard course. Then choose his Spider Collar section. You have arrived to Tarantula guard section what you have been looking for. Next time please try to name your question right (Tuantula - Come on!) Lol!

    Choose expert Marcus Johnson. His spider guard is comprehensive and includes Spider Collar.

    Jason, as far as I know Dominique Bell has "popularized" it he does differentiate it from spider. I don't like to post bjj fanatics stuff on GG but this is the only good descriptor that I know of. Tarantula Guard by Dominique Bell Thanks for looking into this.

    UPDATE, @@JuisMa was correct it seems to be spider/lapel and Marcus Johnson's section on it is great. Hope I didn't waste your time Thanks.

    Thanks, I'll look into this and see if it truly is "apples to apples" with what Dom is teaching or at least close conceptually.
