I just bought a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 creator combo to film our situational sparring games. (I have not asked student yet, but videos will be shared only to those who have a link.) It is so much easier to discuss situations when every one sees the same game. If all goes well, I will be sharing something next week.
Nice! Looking forward to seeing what you might share!
@Jason_Scully I informed student today and they were OK. Let's see how many will show up next Tuesday for morning class :-)
@Jason_Scully What would be the best way to share and let members comment? I will put them on my youtube channel and make a link. Maybe a new discussion? Most like clips will be about situational sparring and I am just looking for more "what ifs". Goal is to make next situational sparring session for similar position better.
@crossover It may be to create a learning path and share the learning path publicly on a thread here and update it. That way it does not spam the community with many posts.
@Jason_Scully How would I get comments to videos when its publish on Paths?
I've personally recorded sparring/rolling portions of the sessions I teach for many years now and posted on a Youtube channel for my students to access. Aside from sharing for enrichment externally, my students have found it very helpful to show them how far they've come, self critique etc. Very useful thing for progression in general.
@Pred Just today I decided to also record my own rolling. Not just students. I don't get to roll very much. I do do other things so I am physically tired, but I have time to check what I actually did during rolling. I also will share students games on youtube.
Yesterday I shared some instructional clips for next session - not about their rolling but general. So I asked them to watch the clips before next session. We are not doing those techniques, but clips had an idea I want to work with them.
