A question for @Jason_Scully. What's the intended purpose of the Guide Sites ranking tab?
I thought it was a nice way to see active members of the community and almost gameify the learning process using fake internet points which could encourage learning; almost like Rocksmith was to guitar tuition/learning.
But looking at the ranking today it's clear that one individual is 'gaming' that system by skipping through lessons and rating the lessons and courses (would take a couple of seconds per lesson in a course) to massively increase their 'XP'. To have meaningfully watched and used 46 courses on the guide in the space of a week is probably possible but is highly unlikely even if they weren't using the built in notes feature, comments etc. (which would indicate they're actually watching the content).
Is there a reward for being at the top or is this individual just wasting their time for the fake sense of accomplishment?
@Pred500 The ranks issue has been fixed
No worries, thought it looked a little odd considering it's all points for naught other than genuine learning progress.
@Pred500 Yeah, it's mainly meant to be a fun add on. Some people will use it, and others won't even pay attention to it. Everyone has different learning and study styles. So the goal is to give the best options we can.
