Is sparring whether it be hard or technical the quickest way to improve your jujitsu?

hard spar improves strength, endurance, develops stability of pins and mounts, more prone to injuries

tech spar improves understanding of positions, even submissions, promotes better confidence, motivating and less injury

definitely a complete train plan improves one's bjj game. this also involves, S & C, proper healthy diet, rest and sleep, a certain amount of focus or mindset, among others

    Thanks

Both can be good, but hard sparring will allow you to deal people going super hard against you. It might not let your develop your technique though. It will also likely cause more injuries. Being more technical will of course improve your technique, but sometimes you might be overwhelmed by someone going 100% on you. IMO you need both, but I'd say 80-20 in favor of technical sparring.

Technique work/drilling 1/3, positional sparring (varied intensity)1/3 and sparring 1/3. Best way to improve your jiujitsu.

hard sparring should be used less frequently, visit places like Tristar and go hard and you are advised to scale it back to like 70%. There is definitely a place for "king of the mat" style drills but I would say 80/20 on Technical/Hard sparring ratio would be best for progress in the sport and keep injuries to a minimum.
