What made you start training, and what keeps you coming back?

The reason people start is almost never the reason they stay. A lot of people walked in for self defense or fitness and stayed for something completely different.

Curious to hear the short version of your story. What got you through the door, and what keeps you showing up now?

Short answer, the early UFC's. Since I'm in my late 40's now, it's become more about staying in shape.

@rfrazier , you know what's interesting is that I saw the first UFC when I was 13 and the ones after that and it never got me curious about BJJ. I always loved martial arts and wanted to be a Ninja or Karate master lol. I used to take martial arts technique books out in the library when I was a kid.

Then when I was 20, and was able to pay for it my self I found BJJ. At that point I wrestled and I thought it was really cool that it was like wrestling but you could submit people.
