I'm pretty new to striking overall. Signed up for the Striker's Guide when it first came out to learn a bit about it. Started out with the Grappler's Guide when I started learning BJJ just before the pandemic hit and it helped me through a good portion of that and I still learn from it. I can't make it to the gym where I train BJJ for kickboxing classes so I've been working on striking on Friday afternoons in my garage with my heavy bag using the boxing videos here. I do have a training partner with some experience on very very rare occasions.
I'd like to expand what I do on Fridays a bit and I'd also like to have a plan for ramping up solo training should we get more lockdowns. The basic goal is to teach myself as much as I can. I know that it's best to have a coach but I was curious if there was a "best practices" path or some sort of roadmap to follow with the videos here to go from basically zero striking knowledge to some kind of understanding.
Thanks!
